WEIRD WEEKEND is an annual cult film festival based in Glasgow, Scotland, founded, programmed and produced by Matchbox Cine.

WEIRD WEEKEND presents strange and unseen cinema from around the world, celebrating the film world’s orphans, outcasts and outliers.

WEIRD WEEKEND returns in 2024 with a monthly screening series launching in March, leading up to WWIV in October 2024, at OFFLINE Glasgow.

The third edition took place on Friday 28th October, Saturday 29th October and Sunday 30th October 2022, at Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow.

The second edition took place on Friday 30th September, Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September 2019 at Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow.

The first edition was held on Saturday 2nd June and Sunday 3rd June, 2018, at Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow.
