1hr 22m | DCP | Extended in-person introduction by Jaye Hudson
Small-town girl ingénue and movie lover Eve Harrington (Holly Woodlawn) arrives in the Big Apple, hoping to find her fortune as an actress. Will the cavalcade of characters she encounters, from Mary Poppins (Tally Brown) to Rhett Butler (also Holly Woodlawn), help her dreams come true…or at least find a stready apartment?
We are delighted to present the Scottish premiere of this long-thought-lost midnight movie musical masterpiece from the director of X-rated Jaws parody Gums, starring Warhol Superstar Holly Woodlawn (Trash, Women in Revolt!). Out-of-circulation and largely unheralded for five decades, never released on tape or disc, a sole print of Scarecrow was rescued and recently restored by The Academy Film Archive. Still impossible to see otherwise, this is a rare opportunity to participate in the rediscovery of a genuine cult classic.
Jaye Hudson (TGirlsOnFilm) joins us in person to deliver an extended introduction
